“Yes” is the answer when we read the first few chapters of The Alpha King’s Princess. After all, he forces the weak-looking Hedy to submit to his shady games, even though Hedy has told the whole story of her abuses.

However, the heel-face turn moment for the ferocious-looking Alpha King begins quite swiftly, which makes me wonder if Candido went mad because of his mateless state for so long. After all, Hedy is his only mate, and Candido never had previous Lunas to spend his time with.

Candido’s POVs are unique throughout the chapters of The Alpha King’s Princess, for he doesn’t think much about mates, even after Hedy appeared before him. Other Alpha Kings and Alphas might overthink their mates to a point of possessiveness, yet, Candido is different in terms of his mental endurance in thinking about mates.

One of Candido’s dialogue portions I remembered in The Alpha King’s Princess novel is when he told Hedy the Full Moon pack has maintained its steadiness even without a Luna. He didn’t force himself to mark Hedy as his mate, instead, he matter-of-factly told the truth. It makes the character and the storylines more adorable!

The Alpha King’s Princess novel is more than just returning to a comfortable but not so comfortable place. Hedy has run away from the Wolf Fang pack, the pack that leaves huge traumatic bruises inside her mind, to a pack called the Full Moon pack, in the hope of finding safety and protection in the hands of a much more powerful Alpha King.

Yet, upon reading the chapters of The Alpha King’s Princess, Candido, the Alpha King and the ruler of the Full Moon pack, seems to have thrown Hedy to a birthday party where her abusive father and stepsister attend.

The interesting point I get from reading The Alpha King’s Princess lies in Candido’s attempts to protect Hedy from the abusive figures in her life. Candido’s protectiveness and loving acts towards Hedy are signs of him not being involved in the invitations of the Wolf Fang pack.

Candido is also a one-of-a-kind Alpha King for his out-of-the-box perspective about mates and his protective gestures toward Hedy throughout the chapters of The Alpha King’s Princess. Read the novel, and I’m sure you will love the characters and the stories!
