Leaving The Country After Divorce Chapter 1
Chapter 1, the introductory part of Leaving The Country After Divorce, is all about Roxanne Jarvis divorcing her husband, Lucian Farwell. She had been married to Lucian for seven years.
Even though she has had a crush on him since she was a teen, Lucian never appreciated or touched her during their marriage. For me, this part is one of the most infuriating part in this book!
Through reading Leaving The Country After Divorce Read Online Free Chapter 1, we also know that Lucian prefers to marry Aubree Pearson, not Roxanne. Roxanne is a highly competent mentee of a well-known professor; so, I think Lucian has lost a precious ex-wife in this chapter!
Leaving The Country After Divorce Chapter 18
“We’re already divorced,” Such a statement is a determination from Roxanne that I see upon reading some parts of Leaving The Country After Divorce Chapter 18. She doesn’t want any more things to do with Lucian. She also wishes that her ex-husband would leave her alone. Isn’t it easy for the all-powerful Farwell Group’s CEO to let go of this woman?
Lucian hates that his ex-wife hurts his ego by not seeking the husband’s permission to break up with him. So, such mindsets lead Lucian to act physically upon Roxanne. I bet all of us will see how Roxanne feels panicky upon witnessing Lucian’s highly physical acts. At the same time, she doesn’t know where to run away from Lucian.
Indeed, Lucian is a scary man! For your information, investing some sums of money will make you unlock some chapters of Leaving The Country After Divorce. After all, not all chapters are available for free!
Part 2: The Core Story Of Leaving The Country After Divorce
Leaving The Country After Divorce is about two MCs who are supposed to be equally powerful in terms of their professional life. Roxanne Jarvis is an intelligent and competent woman at work. A well-known professor named Harvey Lambert is her mentor, and she also regularly does research in her lab.
Meanwhile, Lucian Farwell, Roxanne’s husband (later: ex-husband) is the unbeatable and charismatic Farwell Group’s CEO. As the CEO of a well-known group company, Lucian always has butlers with their different job descriptions. One of them that I spot as I read more chapters of Leaving The Country After Divorce is Lance.
Roxanne has been crushing on Lucian since she was a teen. She has involved herself in an arranged marriage relationship with Lucian for three years. However, an arranged marriage usually remains as far as a mere relationship status, and Roxanne’s relationship with Lucian is not an exception.
Back then, Roxanne has tried to be a perfect wife for Lucian since the first day of their marriage. She tried too hard, from small things like doing the laundry to making herself available for her seemingly-remote husband.
Even so, Lucian doesn’t reciprocate her feelings. He never touches her or shows her any positive emotions. After all, Lucian wants to marry Aubree Pearson, not Roxanne.
Yet, still, Roxanne persists in being the loving wife. At some points of the chapters in Leaving The Country After Divorce, Roxanne cannot stand her husband’s treatments any longer. At the same time, she is confused about how to break up with Lucian. She just hopes that her breakups won’t hurt his feelings.
In her confusion, Roxanne breaks up quietly with Lucian while the two sleep. After she has caught the momentum, she whispers to her ignorant husband before she packs her belongings and says goodbye to him.
The already-awakened Lucian could not comprehend why his ex-wife divorced him without his consent. Unable to accept such a bitter reality, he sought help from Butler Lance to track down Roxanne. Soon, he found out Roxanne has been Leaving The Country After Divorce.
Further paragraphs and chapters of Leaving The Country After Divorce suggest that Roxanne continues her research after she breaks up with Lucian. Yet, she tells her Professor nothing about the break-ups, which makes Professor Harvey assign her back to a place where she is sure she will meet up again with her ex-husband. How will the story continue?

Part 3: Some Analytical Views Of Leaving The Country After Divorce
When I read Leaving The Country After Divorce book, I love how the author pictures the power imbalances between the MCs. We’ve seen too many romance novels about an overpowered male MC (usually the CEO of some Group companies) oppressing the weak-willed female MC.
Leaving The Country After Divorce novel is unique in describing Roxanne Jarvis as the adept researcher in her lab.
It happens even when she’s not having a relationship with Lucian Farwell, her soon-to-be ex-husband. In addition, Roxanne is also a nurturing woman. She doesn’t neglect her responsibilities to educate her children and patiently answer their questions while also doing her job descriptions.
Roxanne can do better in getting even with her ex-husband’s treatment. The more I read Leaving The Country After Divorce, the more I feel Lucian Farwell, Roxanne’s ex-husband, is a loser type of man. He might be the Farwell Group’s CEO. Yet, a man who is not done with himself yet and has cheated with another unknown stranger is not worthy of a high-quality woman like Roxanne!
Part 4: Similar Novel To Leaving The Country After Divorce
They said marriage is a sacred union. I agree with those people. Maybe, that’s why all divorces feel bitter for the previously married person. The women often become more in tune with their bitter feelings after divorces.
Such beliefs and philosophies are always present in any books with divorce themes. Since Leaving The Country After Divorce isn’t the only divorce novel, and Dreame also has many divorce-based books, I would recommend Her Revenge For The Divorce.
I am amazed by how kickass Lina, the female MC, can be when I read Her Revenge For The Divorce. Lina is unlike Leaving The Country After Divorce’s Roxanne who keeps on running away from Lucian just because he’s, cough, a billionaire, cough. Instead, I see Lina as a woman who can stand up for herself.
Lina remarries a random billionaire ten years after she breaks up with her husband. Even though she lived a hard life, it didn’t stop her from seeking revenge for her cheating husband. For me, that’s one of the most admirable characteristics of Lina!
That’s why I recommend Her Revenge For The Divorce more than Leaving The Country After Divorce.
